Everyday . . . In Some Ways . . . A Little More . . .

Experience.

?

When it comes to writing - I'm in favour of the long edit. Editing is half the fun and more than half of something written well. So if you read something on here and it's crappy, the next time you stop by it might be a propped up a little better. Or completely discarded. Browse if you like. Or not. But it's my space to tidy and shine and reinforce where necessary.

Hello in Reverse

Titling my first post "Welcome . . ." will end up being a bit backwards because, being my first post it will soon be the last thing anyone will read. Kind of like being welcomed as you leave someone's house.

That could be still fitting because I'd like to grab memories and experiences that are either tangled up or unexplored - like houses with many rooms. Writing tends to untangle things. When I sit down to write - I don't know where I will end up when I'm done. Sometimes there are places I would like to go - but as I write, new (better) possibilities and deeper meanings emerge.

I aim to find some doors and get out into fresher air. The mat I jump across says, "Welcome."

Welcome to . . . digital logs in a digital bog

For the past month or so I've been thinkering about this. My friend Ben suggested I start blogging a month or two ago - and after I browsed his and a few others - I thought: "Yes." Then I started thinking about it . . . planning it . . . gathering ideas for posts and themes . . . conducting surveys and polling the population . . . organizing and bankrolling supplemental think-tanks . . .

Eventually I also generated a condition known as: pre-blog anxiety. I toyed with the idea of making a blog all about planning a blog. But, I gave my head a little shake and now I'm treating myself before I require surgery over an imaginary blog.

So, welcome to my digitals logs from my digital bog. Not quite solid ground, not quite water world. Not particularly prime real estate, but full of life - sometimes hidden though, even to me.
