A Little Bit Everyday

Earlier this week there was an article in the paper about Obama's workout routine. Normally I wouldn't really care about someone else's mileage, reps, cardio, program, blah blah blah - but, I followed his campaign. For months. I even endured CNN induced paranoia to follow it. It's hard for me to imagine the intensity and the stress he navigated his way through.

Back in 2000 Newsweek magazine put W. on the cover after he'd been elected with the caption, "And Now, the Hard Part . . ." Well, I guess we know now how it all worked out for him and (indirectly) the rest of the planet. But it's the same for Obama - after slugging away for months campaigning . . . now he's actually got to . . . the hard part.

So after witnessing the poise with which he's carried himself all this time . . . I'm a little more interested in the habits and disciplines that have helped him do it. He's not crazy hard-core fitness guy, but he does about 45 mins everyday. Cardio, weights.

An example I guess, that a little bit everyday can be a big help. Goes for a lot of things.
