Marathon of Hope

29 years ago today Terry Fox's Marathon of hope came to an end in Thunder Bay. Even with two legs, what he did was pretty amazing - let alone with one leg, cancer, and a heart condition. I picture in my mind his blood, sweat, and tears, limping (fast) across Canada to raise money for those coming after him. The sheer determination in the face of death, and the huge effort for others despite pretty severe hindering factors . . . I mean to get up day after day and average about 23 miles a day . . . that brings some tears to my eyes . . .
