The End of Music?

Was it just me or did the Grammy's almost try too hard this year? Performances by U2, Coldplay, Radiohead, a Beatle, Jay-Z, Kanye, 'Lil Wayne, T.I., Stevie, B.B. King, Buddy Guy . . . and Led Zeppelin's frontman going home with a lot of the hardware? What's the deal? Is there something we don't know? Fearing the end of music, are they desperately trying to rally interest by jamming all the biggest acts together in a fast and furious few hours?

Or maybe we're finally waking up to the fact that an awards show for music is ludicrous and they're just fearing the end of the Grammy's.
